Scholarship - 2017 Scholarship to be annouced

NFAPL Scholarships

NFAPL will be accepting applications for the 2017 annual scholarships soon.

Two scholarships will be offered, one open to all students and one  for members of Alpha Psi Lambda.

NFAPL Scholarship (Non-Members)
NFAPL invites students who are, or will be, attending an institution of higher learning (2 or 4-year college) and who show a commitment to education, citizenship and/or community to apply. The Foundation will award a $1,000 scholarship to a worthy student based on the following criteria.  

Award Criteria:  
  • Applicant must be a registered student at an accredited American college or university.
  • The scholarship will be based on leadership and community service.
  • The scholarship available to the community at large.
  • The scholarship is open to incoming freshmen students as well as undergraduate and graduate students attending, or planning to attend, an accredited college or university. 
  • GPA requirement: 2.5 as an undergraduate or high school graduate and 3.0 as a graduate student.

Application Process
Applicant must submit the following items:

  1. Applicant must complete the application.
  2. Applicant must submit a one-page essay describing how the applicant personally made an impact on the community, school or within his/her family.
  3. Applicant must provide an official copy of their most recent high school or college/university transcript. This should be saved in a PDF format.
  4. Applicant must provide two (2) character references.  Reference letters should be attached to the application in PDF format. 

 Deadline for the application is December   Applications sent after this date or incomplete applications will not be considered.  All materials must be emailed to: nfapl@nfapl.org

NFAPL invites students who are Alpha Psi Lambda members attending an institution of higher learning (2 or 4-year college) and who show a commitment to the fraternity, education,  and community to apply.  The Foundation will award a $1,000 scholarship to a worthy student based on the following criteria.  


Award Criteria:  

  • Applicant must be a registered student at an accredited American college or university.
  • The scholarship will be based on leadership and community service.
  • The scholarship is only available to members of Alpha Psi Lambda National Inc.
  • The scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students attending, or planning to attend, an accredited college or university. 
  • GPA requirement: 2.5 as an undergraduate student and 3.0 as a graduate student on a 4.0 scale.

Application Process

Applicant must submit the following items:

  1. Applicant must complete the application.
  2. Applicant must submit a one-page essay describing how he/she made an impact by living out one or more of the Eight Purposes of the fraternity and how that made an impact at the university and/or community through leadership and/or community service.
  3. Must provide an official copy of his/her most recent college/university transcript. This should be saved in a PDF format.
  4. Applicant must provide two (2) character references. Reference letters should be attached to the application in PDF format. 

Deadline for the application is July 31, 2016. Applications sent after this date or incomplete applications will not be considered.  All materials must be emailed to: nfapl@nfapl.org
